discovering a song via perez hilton is not something im proud of. im consoling myself with the knowledge that i liked sophie ellis bextor in the early 00’s so i beat him on that count, but still…anyway, sophie’s new single ‘bittersweet’ is a catchy pop song that would probably have been #1 ten years ago. her song with freemasons, ‘heartbreak (make me a dancer),’ was far more current and relevant, so this feels like a step back…but im still likin it.
