this is a really sensitive subject for everyone involved, because everyone i know is american and therefore inherently know theyre going to lose on june 12th. however, they are all saving face and saying things like ENGLANDS TEAM SUCK THIS YEAR, YOURE GONNA LOSE, BLAH BLAH BLAH when the truth is we all know whos ass is going to get kicked come june and its not ours…to celebrate the wonderful day on which i roam the streets of new york gloating, and possible wearing a union jack cape if ive had enough Guinness, i have been listening to some quality english football jams.

first up, we have vindaloo featuring alex james of blur fame (and famous in his own right as an award winning cheese creator…no joke), and keith allen who you may know as lilys pops. the videos a spoof of bittersweet symphony…which you will definitely know as the amazing track that i can never listen to again after that tosser jason derulo sampled it, got it played 15000000 times at syracuse parties, and has caused me to flinch at the sound of what used to be my favourite verve track. i digress…here is vindaloo:

thankfully, sven goran eriksson is no longer managing england. unfortunately, the new manager thinks music is ‘distracting’ so our team dont have an official song this year…deeming this entire blog post unnecessary…here is sven sven sven, watch the video its FUNNY:

next, ant and decs fantastic track we’re on the ball. if you dont know ant and dec, they define a british childhood. they hosted literally every tv show a child and music fan watched during the 90s and early 00s. theyre inseperable best friends who would be endearing were they not so irritating. however, i will forgive the fact that they annoy me to near-seizure due to dec’s mid-song tribe called quest reference…who knew they were so credible? check out we’re on the ball for a few seconds, probably get irritated, move on to the last (and BEST) football song:

last but not least, we have three lions on a shirt. i think ive known every word to this song since i was 6 years old, no big deal. the remake with frank skinner (hes like our letterman/leno!) makes me so happy. im going to be singing this song loud and proud on june 12th!
